  1. Do I have to run a business to have an account?
    We welcome both business and retail customers.

  2. How versatile is propane?
    Propane is a multi-purpose fuel that is highly portable, clean burning and non-toxic; supply is readily available and competitively priced. Propane is an ideal energy source, it is an economical fuel that heats quickly and burns efficiently with a wide range of applications - agriculture, construction, kitchen appliances, heating your home or cabin, automotive, appliances and equipment and let’s not forget the cook out on a summer afternoon!

  3. Additives: What do they do?
    Additives enable a lubricant to meet the requirements of a specific operating environment. Depending on the performance requirements Imperial Oil formulates using different combinations of many additive types.
    Some of the benefits include:
    • Minimizing oxidation, which helps to extend the life of the lubricant and to control deposits;
    • Resisting water-washout, protecting equipment under adverse conditions;
    • Reducing rust and/or corrosion;
    • Providing EP (Extreme Pressure) protection, often extending the life of equipment in severe service;

  4. Grease: What grease to use in a range of temperatures?
    No matter what the temperature is outside, today’s heavy workloads can raise the temperature and the mechanical stress on your grease. UNIREX EP 1 stands up particularly well under both high operating temperatures and stress, yet has a minimum operating temperature of -30ºC and can be dispensed as low as -15ºC. For cooler climates, UNIREX LOTEMP EP has a minimum operating temperature of -55ºC and dispenses at -40ºC.

  5. Base Stock: What does it do?
    The major component of any lubricant is it’s base stock. Base stocks help to reduce friction and cool the equipment’s moving parts. They also retain the lubricant’s additives in solution so they can be effective for the life of the oil.
