Slow Food Cycle Sunday

The Pemberton Slow Food Cycle is the ultimate Sunday Funday! This year, the 11th Annual Slow Food Cycle event was held in the Pemberton Valley, and people came from near and far to take part in the event. Tourism Pemberton describes the event perfectly - "a celebration of food, farmers, and the joys of biking!" The Cycle is 50km in total; participants can do it at their own pace, and can choose to do some or all of the route.

Local farms and vendors set up stands along Pemberton Meadows Road, and sold fresh produce, crafts, and delicious food and drinks- all the while providing endless entertainment for all of the cyclists as well! Mile One Eating House set up camp at Bob Mitchell's farm and had Pemberton Beef Burgers for sale. At Across the Creek Organics, owned by Bruce & Brenda Miller, they had a wide variety of tents set up - fresh flowers, Whistler Pierogies, homemade ice cream sandwiches, drinks and popsicles from the Pemberton Distillery, pies & sausage rolls, Purebread Whistler, and so many more! To top it all off they also had live music as well. At Eddie's Corner they also had plenty of stands set up, as well as a midday Wrestling Event! {Did I mention endless entertainment?}

The Slow Food Cycle is an amazing way to celebrate everything that Pemberton has to offer. Like their slogan says, the future of food is local!

Pemberton Music Festival

From July 16-19, Pemberton Music Festival took over the town! Festival-goers came from all over Canada and even the States to join in on the 4 days of fun in our hometown.

During setup and throughout the festival, Huka Entertainment of course needed fuels and oils to keep them moving! AC Petroleum was proud to deliver both gas and diesel to the festival site for their onsite vehicles and generators, as well as propane for the shower trailers, festival staff catering trucks, and all of the wonderful vendors! The Pemberton Festival staff also visited our cardlock in the Industrial Park to fuel up their vehicles, and purchase various oils and lubes for their machinery.

Grand Opening of AC Gas

This spring was a very exciting time for AC Petroleum! We took over the Esso gas station & convenience store downtown Pemberton - now known as AC Gas! New ownership & a fresh face, but the same great products and friendly staff. After completing some renovations and maintenance to the location, we held the Grand Opening Celebration on Friday June 19th. Our fuel driver Ian was BBQ'in up some hot dogs, and there was also delicious red & white cupcakes made by our accountant Vera! It was great to see so many community members come out to celebrate the Grand Opening, and despite the rain, we had an amazing day! We look forward to continuing to serve all of the loyal Pemberton residents.

Industrial Park Open House!

On May 9, the Pemberton Chamber of Commerce held their first annual Open House event in the Industrial Park. This was a great opportunity for local residents to come out and see what the businesses in the Industrial Park have to offer! Of course AC Petroleum and Lizzie Bay participated in this Open House event, and set up a tent at our cardlock here in the Industrial Park. Some other participating businesses included Big Al's Car Wash, the Pemberton U-Brew, Goodlife Cafe, Sabre Rentals, Mainroads, Mountainview Storage, the Pemberton Distillery, and many more! Each participating business was marked with a single red balloon at the end of their driveway and participants were given maps to guide themselves through the Industrial Park.

The weather cooperated with us, and it was a beautiful hot sunny day! We set up a pop-up tent to try and shade ourselves from the heat, and had an ice cream cooler full of different flavours, provided by the Pony Restaurant. These cones were given away free of charge, as well as our Lizzie Bay and AC Petroleum goodie bags, filled with assorted candies. We also had a draw for a free 20 lb. BBQ propane tank - congratulations to the winner, a local gentleman by the name of Jeff Hesthammer!

We also had an AC Petroleum fuel truck and Lizzie Bay logging truck on display with lots of balloons! Overall it was a great day, and we look forward to next year's open house!
