Inside / Outside Sales Representative


The Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenues through account retention, development and growth strategies. The incumbent will build a robust sales pipeline and provide continuing support for existing accounts. The opportunity requires the development of strong relationships to ensure best possible service to AC Petroleum’s clients. The Sales Representative reports on a regular basis to the Manager.

Sales Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a book of business (database selling) and sales pipeline
  • Strong prospecting capabilities
  • Products and services selling
  • Relationship marketing
  • Customer and solution selling including customer needs analysis
  • Creating estimates and quotes, and proposals for bids
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities and reports on such activities to the Manager on a regular basis
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management

The Right Candidate Will Be:

  • Highly motivated, trustworthy, reliable
  • Capable of working efficiently with little supervision
  • An effective communicator in English (written, verbal, and listening skills)
  • Friendly, approachable, charismatic and professional with a positive attitude
  • Capable of working well as part of a close-knit team
  • Able to quickly develop thorough knowledge and understanding in all aspects of AC Petroleum’s products and services


  • Computer savvy
  • Efficient in conducting research
  • Math skills to properly price products and services and analyze sales stats
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in office productivity software such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, databases
  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred
  • 2-3 years of related work experience
  • Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
